Originally engaged in regional and touring theatre and TIE, Purbeck Tech director Mark Morley started work in technical entertainment equipment sales in 1983. Since then, he's designed and project-managed the installation of audio, AV, stage lighting and stage-engineering systems into hundreds of venues across the World: school halls / drama studios, performing arts centres and recording studios, hotel & holiday park entertainment venues, museums, night-clubs, professional theatres, TV Studios and more than 30 cruise ship refits (for Airtours Sun Cruises, Cunard, Fred Olsen, Ocean Village, P&O, Princess, Pullmantur, Saga and RCCL). He also devised and managed a rolling maintenance and resident technician programme for over 100 TUI hotel entertainment venues all around the Mediterranean and the Canary Islands. This included a 15-years stint writing and running annual residential technical sound & light training courses for TUI’s entertainment technicians and involved the annual recruitment of more than 30 seasonal PAYE technicians and dozens of freelance maintenance/installation engineers. In the “noughties”, Mark became Technical Director at TEDGroup and later worked as sales manager for Eaton’s Zero 88 and as a Trade-Sales BDM with White Light Ltd.. Mark’s experience includes several years running a Health & Safety programme for PAYE and Freelance employees working in entertainment venues across the World.
